5 VOORDELEN VAN WASSEN MET DE HAND

5 BENEFITS OF HAND WASHING

Washing your car by taking it to the car wash is nice and easy, but of course, this is not the best method to get and keep your beloved car clean. For the best result, you wash your car by hand, but what is the best way to do that?

Careful and efficient
Not everyone has the time and patience to thoroughly clean their car. However, anyone can wash their car carefully and efficiently. When you wash your car by hand, you can reach every part of your car, it gives a better result than the car wash, and it's also fun to do.

2-Bucket Method
To start, make sure you have the right supplies. This means at least a good car shampoo and a rust remover or wheel cleaner. Also, make sure you have two buckets, each with a so-called grit guard; a kind of grid at the bottom of the bucket where dirt will collect and thus cannot get into your wash mitt. You always wash a car using the 2-bucket method, where one bucket serves as a rinse bucket and the other as a wash bucket. You use the wash bucket for the car shampoo, the clean suds. You use the rinse bucket to rinse out the wash mitt. Tip: if you like to wash your car in a self-service car wash bay, make sure you have a bucket with a lid where you can store your cleaning supplies.

– Make sure your car has cooled down and is preferably in the shade
– Before washing, thoroughly spray your car, for example with a high-pressure washer
– Use a wash mitt, NOT a sponge

From top to bottom
Always start washing your car with the horizontal surfaces. You do this to prevent streaks as much as possible. First, wash the roof, bonnet, and then the doors, front and rear bumpers, and finish with the lower parts of your car such as the sills and wheel arches. Rinse the wash mitt regularly in the rinse bucket and get new suds from the wash bucket. Then thoroughly spray or rinse your car from top to bottom.

Fallout remover
You wash your car's rims with a thorough fallout remover in combination with a rim brush or wheel woolie. Never do this with the same wash mitt you use for washing your car's paintwork. The most stubborn dirt on your car's rims comes from iron particles released from the brake discs and pads. With a fallout remover, these particles come off easily.

Prevent limescale residues
After washing your car, you are proud of the result, and you want to keep it that way. Therefore, do not use a chamois leather to dry your car but a specific drying towel. This works much more effectively and prevents annoying limescale residues.

This way, you'll have hand-washed your car in no time, you'll enjoy the result even more, and you'll save a lot of money. In short; will you still go to the "scratch wash"?

Let's be honest: everyone has been to the car wash, aka scratch wash, with their car at some point. Agree? Everyone also knows it's not the best solution for a clean car. But what is an effective way to wash a car that doesn't take all day? We've listed some handy tips for you.

Tip 1: Don't let your car get too dirty
Make sure your car doesn't get too dirty and wash it regularly by hand. Keeping a clean car clean takes much less time than if you haven't washed your car for weeks. Nowadays, there are many self-service car wash bays in the Netherlands where you can bring your own supplies and only use the high-pressure cleaner.

Tip 2: Use snow foam
To prevent swirls and wash scratches, you should clean the car with snow foam before washing. The cleaning foam is designed to loosen road grime from your car's bodywork before you start washing. Once most of the dirt has been removed, you can safely wash the car with a good shampoo. Snow foam usually works in combination with a foam cannon / foam lance.

Tip 3: Use a drying towel
After washing, your car finally gleams like never before, but if you're not careful, you'll find limescale residues everywhere. So it's important to dry the car thoroughly. No, 'driving dry' is definitely not a good idea. Often, your car gets dirty again quickly this way. Using a chamois is also not recommended; you certainly won't reach all spots. A large drying towel often absorbs a lot of water and you can easily glide it over the contours of the car. Wherever the drying towel glides, the water is absorbed. You won't get a car dry any easier!

Tip 4: Don't forget the interior
It often happens that a car looks beautiful, but the inside is like a pigsty. Make sure you clean the interior and then freshen it up with a water-based freshener. It ensures that the car smells fresh, looks fresh, and is actually fresh. As a finishing touch, you can use a car perfume. Extra tip: do not use modules for the ventilation grille, these are often too intense and overpowering. Use a spray with which you can determine the dose yourself. Often these types of car perfumes also last much longer. In short, value for money!

Tip 5: Don't forget to enjoy it
Washing your car is a fun chore and certainly not an annoying one. When you're done, you'll enjoy the result even more and be completely proud of your car again. We bet you won't let your car get that dirty again? Moreover, you'll reach every part of your car, and this way, you'll also immediately see if anything is damaged. See it as a check to see if your car is still in perfect condition.

Het is inderdaad een leuk gegeven als je over de overweldigende producten beschikt en u auto weer zo blinkt na een wasbeurt, zonder krassen. Nu nog een goede beurt voor binnen zoals deze van de buitenzijde
